Tour Plan

  • DAY 1: Tbilisi
    • Arrival in Tbilisi, meeting at the airport.
    • Transfer to the Hotel, check-in and rest. Overnight in Tbilisi.
  • DAY 2: Tbilisi-Mtskheta
    •  Breakfast at the Hotel.
    • Transfer to Mtskheta. Visiting the monuments, which are in the UNESCO Heritage list.
    • Mtskheta is one of the oldest cities of Georgia (in Kartli province of Eastern Georgia), near Tbilisi. Mtskheta was a capital of the Georgian Kingdom of Iberia during the 3rd century BC - 5 th century AD. Here Georgians converted to Christianity in 317 and Mtskheta still remains the headquarters of the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church.
    •  Jvari Monastery is a Georgian Orthodox monastery of the 6th century near Mtskheta (World Heritage site), Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, eastern Georgia. The name is translated as the Monastery of the Cross. For another, Jerusalem-located Georgian monastery with the same name.
    •  Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, built in the 11 th century. Though the site itself is even older dating back to the early 4th century and is surrounded by a number of legends associated primarily with the early Christian traditions. Svetitskhoveli, known as the burial site of Christ's mantle, has long been the principal Georgian church and remains one of the most venerated places of worship to this day. The church counts UNESCO world heritage sites.
    •  Walking tour in the old part of Tbilisi.Our tour will start at Rike park. Firstly, we’ll enjoy the fantastic panorama of the Old City on the opposite bank of the river, and walk a bit around the park. From the park we’ll take the cable car up to the Narikala Fortress - the main citadel of Tbilisi for many centuries.
    •  Then we will go down along the narrow, cute streets, with lovely green yards, and unique Tbilisi buildings, framed with grapevines and circled with lacy balconies. Further we’ll pass by the mosquethe only one in Tbilisi.
    •  The beautiful walls of the mosque are on the bank of the small river, which runs sparkling and bubbling from the top of the hills straight to the Kura River. The river takes its way through the picturesque gorge. We will go up, along the gorge, and this path will bring us to the lovely waterfall, which is situated straight in the middle of the city.
    •  The following stop in our walking tour - Abanotubani (literally "the baths area"). It is a well-known spacious sulfur baths resort. In previous centuries this was not just a SPA center, but a place where friends and relatives met, spent a couple of relaxing hours, and enjoyed the company of each other.
    •  Along the road we will see lovely and cozy open cafes and small restaurants, which are famous for the Caucasian hospitality, incredibly tasty cuisine and wines.
    •  We will go across the well-known "Bridge of Peace '', which spans the Mtkvari (Kura) River. It is remarkable for its futuristic design.
    •  Afterwards we’ll visit the famous Sioni Cathedral (built in the 17th century). Earlier it served as the main Cathedral and at the same time was the residence of the Patriarch of Georgia, until the construction of Holy Trinity Church was finished in 2004.
    •  We will see the oldest of the remained temples in Tbilisi — Anchiskhati (6th century BC)
    •  We will pass by the Clock Tower of the well-known Theater of Marionette by Rezo Gabriadze
    •  This day with lovely and gorgeous Tbilisi will stand out in your memory forever! Overnight in Tbilisi. Distance: Tbilisi-Mtskheta 24 km (approx. 35-45 min)
  • DAY 3: Ananuri-Gudauri-Kazbeg
    •  Breakfast at the Hotel.
    • Our first stop will be at the Ananuri fortress. This is the medieval castle which was constructed to protect the trade route. The place is well-known not only for its reach history but also for the breathtaking views of the Zhinvali water reservoir. Ananuri castle was a scene of many battles through the centuries. It was protecting the surrounding lands from the numerous invaders, coming from the Darial gorge. Now it is a peaceful place, famous for its outstanding views on the surrounding mountains.
    •  We will prolong our way along the Georgian Military Road, pass through the Gudauri Ski resort (one of the most popular in Georgia).
    •  Then we’ll prolong our way towards Kazbegi. Each turn of the road gives us a new stunning view.
    •  Soon we’ll reach the small town of Stepantsminda.This place is known as a best observation point giving a fantastic view of the gorgeous Kazbegi Mountain, Caucasus and emerald alpine meadows. The height of Kazbegi is 5033 meters. We will go up to the Gergeti Trinity church on the 4x4 cars. The church is situated on the right bank of the river Chkheri, at an elevation of 2170 meters (7120 feet), under Mount Kazbegi. The church, lonely at the top of the mountain, surrounded with a breathtaking landscape, is one of most famous Georgian landmarks.
    •  Afterwards we’ll return back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.
    Distance: Tbilisi-Ananuri 65 km (approx. 1, 15 h); Ananuri-Gudauri 55 km (approx. 1 h); GudauriKazbegi 39km (approx. 50 min)
  • DAY 4: Kakheti tour
    • Breakfast at the Hotel.
    •  Today we will have a fantastic trip to Kakheti, beautiful land famous for its vineyards, rich traditions of the wine making, picturesque landscapes and wide cultural traditions.
    •  Our first stop will be at the Bodbe Monastery on of the most popular place of a pilgrimage in Georgia. One can find here a St. Nino's shrined relics (thanks to her Christianity became official religion of Georgia in 326). Besides, there is St. Nino's bath where it is possible to plunge into the consecrated water.
    •  Then we follow our way to Sighnaghi which is called the city of Love. Despite recently carried out restoration, a natural historical view of the town was kept. While wandering around the picturesque city center, and exploring the narrow, cozy streets, we will feel the atmosphere of the last centuries and learn a lot about the history of this place. We will go up the hill, to enjoy the fascinating views of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains.
    •  One of the Sighnaghi attractions is the ancient fortress walls, which still can be explored here. The walls not only offer a nice walk, but also presents the visitors with a spectacular view.
    •  Afterwards we will return back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.
    Distance: Tbilisi-Sighnaghi-Bodbe 109 km (approx. 1,50 h)
  • DAY 5: Shopping tour
    •  Breakfast at the Hotel.
    • A shopping tour in Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.
  • DAY 6: Transfer
